Rough times at the Fite house!

Remember when I said if it were not for bad luck we would not have any at all. Well let me give you a quick overview of our past week. Last weekend Gigi (Trae's mom) came for a few days and Trae and I actually went out alone. Thats when it all started, Ella Grace woke up Saturday night with a fever. By Monday the fever had developed into congestion and this was our first trip to the Peds Clinic. Wednesday she had a upper resp. infection that was so bad the MD (2nd trip) done an RSV test, which required a swab ramed up her nose making it bleed the rest of the day. Once the RSV was neg, we had to go to EAMC to have a chest xray to rule out pneumonia. After all this, no answers. Thursday I tried to work, only to be called in the middle of a meeting to be informed Ella Grace had a fever of 104. Later that afternoon we finally got into see Dr. Nichols (3rd trip) and her fever was 104.8 under her arm, and you can imagine everyone freaked. Again, we rushed to EAMC for more test, and Ella Grace had to have lab work and was stuck 3 times. Finally we came to a verdict...a major ear infection. All the fever and congestion from her URI had caused fluid to build behind her right ear drum and pushed the tube out, causing a horrible infection, her ear drum was bulging. After about 12 hours on an antibiotic her 105 fever finally broke at 3AM. Friday we got into the ENT office to see Dr Blythe, to be informed not only does she need new tubes, but she needs her adenoids removed too. Thankfully, Ella Grace is feeling much better after much heartache.

We have had a lot of visitors lately, Gigi came last weekend for some quality one on one time. This past weekend my Papa, Nana, Uncle Jacob and Jesse came for a visit. I will update later, Ella is having a moment. Since she has gotten sick I can not do anything but hold her.
